Hi everyone! Today I will be reviewing….drumroll please! IT COSMETICS CC CREAM! Everyone from beauty bloggers to YouTubers to professional makeup artists have raved about this foundation! Is it as good as they say? Or is it a waste of your money?? Let’s get started with first impressions!
Before I bought the product, I made sure to test it out at Sephora. Right away I noticed how thick and smooth it was. Now it is a full coverage foundation so I was expecting a thick consistency. As I applied the foundation, it blended out fairly easily. I loved how it blurred out any imperfections and even acne scars! No foundation has ever given me a near perfect, skin-like finish! I decided to take the plunge and shell out $38! I know…yikes! Let’s talk about the pros, shall we?
- Thick consistency
- Natural finish
- Full coverage
- A little product goes a long way
- SPF 50+
- Pump bottle
- Pore less skin
- Applies smoothly
- Covers dark spots
For $38, you do get 1.08 oz of product which is great. Most high-end foundations are usually 1 oz or under. Also, since a little product goes a long way, it is a great investment. During the summer, I have oily skin which is hard for any makeup to stay on my skin. This foundation really killed it in the long lasting area! I mean, it will stay on until you wash it off! But dry skin beware! Now as it is colder where I live, my skin has turned dry. And I am sad to say that it looks horrible! Applying it takes work. If you don’t blend out the foundation evenly, it looks patchy and enhances your dry skin. Using a moisturizer before does help a little, but not enough.
- Clings to dry spots
- Does separate after a typical 8 hour day
- Hard to blend with dry skin
- Very matte finish
So is the IT Cosmetics CC Cream worth it? It depends. If you have combo/dry skin it is a no. Save your money! There are far more better foundations, no matter your budget or skin type. Here are a few recommendations:
- BareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 30 – $30
- Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in Dewy+Smooth finish – $8
If you have oily skin or acne scars, I would definitely recommend this! Like I said, this foundation truly gives you full coverage and covers all imperfections! I would recommend to use it with a beauty blender of some sort to really blend it out and it will look more natural that way.
