So you are unorganized? And it’s turning into a problem? Don’t worry about it. I’ve got some easy to follow advice to help clear the problem.
Being organized is different for everybody. For some it may be having everything kept away and stored. For others being organized means having everything spread out and no order (which is basically being unorganized). But for us it means the first option so lets get to it!
Number 1: Gather all the things that you wish to organize. For example, if you need help to organize your desk, take everything off of your desk and spread it out on the floor so everything is visible.
Number 2: Declutter! Take a trash bag and sort through the items. One pile for trash, one for keeps, etc. You want to be strict with yourself here because organization requires one to get rid of things you no longer need which can be hard.
Number 3: With everything remaining, you need to evaluate how much space you have and check again to make sure you have decluttered as much as possible. Then start making piles again but this time with the things you are keeping. So with the desk example, sort all the writing utensils together.
Number 4: Use compartments to separate. This is what will ensure that everything stays in its place. Use plastic containers/bins or boxes to help store.
Number 5: DONE!
