Snow Day Essentials

Hi everyone!

So in my planner, I had written down a spring post for today, but unfortunately, spring has shown no signs of coming anytime soon so I’m sticking with winter themed posts.

Typically our classes are still in session despite snow, but due to this lovely (not) polar vortex, we have had a few snow days!

I love snow days because I typically would have done my work the night prior, therefore, I’m able to relax and genuinely take the day off. Here are my essentials to have the perfect snow day.

Candles: I use candles all the time, but they are especially perfect for snow days. They give a relaxing ambiance to the rather gloomy and dark day.

Face masks: You have an entire day to relax and not go out. So pull out your favorite face mask and let it stay on for a bit! My favorite right now is the Josie Maran Whipped Mud Mask.

Books: It’s calm and quiet- embrace it! Grab a book and spend some time by the fireplace! I’m currently reading Becoming by Micheal Obama and I really enjoy it.

Netflix: This is the perfect chance to catch up on your favorite show or watch a movie. If you want something new here is a list of our favorite movies.

Coffee/Hot cocoa/Tea: Whatever your favorite drink is make a cup and cozy up! For a special treat put the White Chocolate Syrup by Torani in your coffee-it is amazing!

Music: While you’re reading or scrolling through Pinterest music is always nice to have on in the background. “Calm Down” and “Peaceful Retreat” are my favorites from Spotify!

Chocolate and Popcorn: You are watching movies and hanging out, so why not munch on your favorite snack? Grab some of that Valentine chocolate and have a YOLO day!

Mac and Cheese: Okay, it doesn’t have to be Mac and Cheese (that would be my pick though- here is my recipe)! Just cook your favorite warm and comforting meal!

Fuzzy blankets/pajamas/socks: You are home- more like stuck at home- so just put on your comfy clothes. Better yet, just stay in your PJs!

Bath bombs: What’s better than reading your favorite book while soaking in a wonderful bubble bath? My favorite bath bombs are from Lush or ME! Bath.

Okay, that is my list of Snow Day essentials! Fingers crossed though that this winter starts pulling out someday soon!

What are your favorite snow day essentials? Has it snowed a lot where you live? What do you do on a snow day?

As always, don’t forget to stay Chic Neat and Sweet!
