Random Happiness // Part 2

Hello everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I spent mine at home, getting caught up on lots of work! I honestly was getting out of my “New Year, new me phase” but now I’m back! This weekend was just the restart I needed!

A while back I wrote a post called “Random Happiness” and received such good feedback from it, that I decided to turn it into a series. Basically, throughout my day when something small- and random – happens that makes me happy, I make note of it! Then, after I have a good list I share them with all of you!

be happy

If some of you are getting caught up in those winter blues or falling from your resolutions, definitely look at this list! I hope it makes you smile and appreciate the little things in life!

Waking up with no alarm… to the sun! The days where I am not waking up early to race from one place to the next, are few and far between. So when I get the opportunity to wake up refreshed to no blaring alarm, it’s the absolute best way to start my day!

When apps don’t automatically update! Let me start by saying, I have my phone set to not update any apps unless I say to. But on occasion, my phone decides to be rebellious and automatically update one of my apps. Nope, not a fan. So I will always appreciate opening my apps and seeing that it has the same layout and functions as usual!

Catching something someone tosses at you! If hand-eye coordination is not your thing, then the most dreaded phrase is “Here, catch”. Like hold up, this could go so badly in a matter of seconds. The object could break. I could break something. It just has bad written all over it! So when someone does decide to toss something at me, gives me no time to just go get it, and I catch it– basically just won a medal at the Olympics!

Your outfit is on point… and you know it! Of course, we work hard at wearing cute outfits every day, but there are just some days where your outfit is extra cute! The best part is we just feel more confident yet, we walk into a room and act like we’re that put together every day!

Non cracked phone screen. I have bought so many screen protectors all of which have cracked (despite being told they are the best brands). I finally gave up and decided it wasn’t worth paying money if it was just going to crack again. So while I don’t have the luxury of a non-cracked screen using friend’s phones that are not cracked, well let’s just say it is a very happy feeling!

A sharpened pencil… all the way around! I rarely use regular pencils, since I always have a mechanical pencil, but recently I had to study and take tests using good old #2 pencils. Oh boy, did this bring me back to my kindergarten days! When my lead would get down low I would try to use a handheld sharpener, but the lead would either break off or do this wonky thing where half of the lead would show and the other half was the wood of the pencil. I finally gave up and used an electric sharpener. It was a beautiful sight to see the lead sharpened all the way around!

Walking around Target. Somehow everytime I go into Target for one or two items I end up being in there for multiple hours and come out with several bags! While this may not be good for my wallet, nothing beats the feeling of grabbing a coffee and meandering through all the aesthetically pleasing aisles of Target!

Alright, that’s my list for part 2!

Which random happiness can you relate to?! What are some of the random moments that bring you happiness?! What is one thing that made you smile today?!

As always, don’t forget to stay Chic Neat and Sweet!

“You will be exactly as happy as you decide to be.”
