Berry and Banana Smoothie Bowl

Does it feel like a Friday to anyone else?! This week has been a whirlwind of snow storms, tests, and homework! If you are ready for the weekend like me, just think, you are one day closer. Personally, I have my bathing suit on hand for when winter finally decides to be done and summer wants to start! One of my favorite summer ‘musts’ are smoothies, and since I have been in the summer spirit, Aditi and I decided to try out the smoothie bowl trend we have seen all over Pinterest! Here is what we came up with.

Blended Smoothie-

  • Handful of frozen strawberries and blueberries
  • Half of a medium-sized banana
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 2 large spoonfuls of plain greek yogurt
  • 1/2 Tablespoon of honey
  • 2 Tablespoons of Almond Powder

  • Half of a medium-sized banana
  • Strawberries
  • Blueberries
  • Sliced Almonds
  • Chocolate Chips

  1. Toss all of your Smoothie Ingredients in the blender. If you are using fresh fruit, I would recommend putting in ice. Since I used frozen berries, the final smoothie was thick enough for my preference.
  2. Blend the ingredients till desired thickness, and pour into a bowl.
  3. Line up all of your toppings across your smoothie. You could create a design, or mix all of the toppings in- both are great!
  4. Enjoy your smoothie bowl and pretend you are at a beach in Hawaii!

That’s how simple it is to make! I loved how you could taste all of the flavors, as you enjoyed this refreshing treat. Let me know what you think of the recipe or if you try it!

What summer treat are you most looking forward too?!

As always don’t forget to stay Chic Neat and Sweet.
