Back to School Prep (Free Calendar)

It is that time of year again, when summer starts winding down, you begin to see school supplies on shelves of stores, get emails from your school, and have to start preparing for another great year. But wait, you aren’t ready! You thought you had so much time to accomplish your goals, and be ready when school started back up, but you got busy and summer flew by! Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered! Here is all the things you need to do to be ready for your first day! Plus, I have attached a free printable calendar, so you can have a schedule to follow!

Regestration and Scheduling:

Finish registration for school and confirm that all of your information is up to date! If not make sure you get it updated. For appointments, check when last medical appointments were and if you need to schedule any, and schedule special appointments such as hair, and nail appointments closer to the first day of school as possible!

Clean Up:

Similar to spring cleaning, deep cleanse your house! Especially your office, bedroom, and bathroom! As you clean make note of what you do and don’t have for school- this includes clothes, supplies, and accessories. Sort through clothes and put what you don’t wear or want in a donate pile. You will then take the pile to a Goodwill or Salvation Army! Not only do you need to clean your house but also clean up your phone/ipad/computer. Delete apps you don’t use, clean up your email, delete/organize your photos, find new apps that would help you, etc.

Shop:

After you have cleaned up and inventoried everything you have, your ready to shop. Go get clothes you need, shoes and accessories, plus your school supplies. Closer to school starting you will also need to shop for food, and stock up on non-perishables.

Getting into Routines and Scheduling:

Our summer schedule is much different than our school routines, so use this time to plan and create an organized daily routine. This includes your morning and night routine- type or write it out and post it somewhere you can see it, then start getting into the habit of following the steps, so when school starts it is an easy transition. Wrap up summer:

Take end of the summer pictures with some friends or family. Print pictures from the summer and/or make a video. It will be fun to look back on your summer adventures in the future! Speaking of adventures, summer isn’t over yet so do one last fun summer activity! Go get ice cream, see a movie in the park, ride your bike early in the morning! Have fun before you head back to school, but don’t forget to finish the things on your to-do list you meant to do at the beginning of the summer.

Self-Care:

You want to look your best when you head into school on the first day so routinely start to pamper yourself and get ready. Do some DIY Face Masks, treat your skin, paint your nails, shape your eyebrows, do a DIY hair mask, etc. Make sure you are spending time relaxing and taking a minute alone. Getting fresh air is good and clearing you thoughts is important to a healthy lifestyle! Eating healthy is also important because not only does it help with your weight but your skin begins to glow and you feel better. Try to eat as many fruits and veggies as you can and cut back on the starchy, fats and carbs. Drink, drink, and drink some more water. Try for a gallon a day! Water will help flush out the toxins and waste in your body! Working out is a great way to relieve stress and lose some weight so you can fit into those new jeans you just bought. Working out can also include meditating, and yoga. An app that is great for meditating is Pacifica- you can put in how you are feeling and it will give you a five minute or less meditation. Yoga you can just stretch or follow along with an app.  Here is my three workouts you will see in the Back To School Prep Calendar…

 

Ab Workout:

Crunches (45 seconds)

Roll-Up (1 minute)

Double Leg Lifts (45 seconds)

Reverse Crunches (1 minute)

Push-Ups (45 seconds)

Plank (1 minute)

Leg Workout:

Plie Squats (100 reps)

Inner Leg Lifts (100 reps each leg)

Narrow Squats (100 reps)

Arm Workout:

Arm Circles (45 seconds)

Reversed Arm Circles ( 1 minute)

Prayer Pulses (45 seconds)

Push-Ups (1 minute)

Tricep Dip (45 seconds)

 

Set-Up For School:

The day before school check your list again and pack your backpack- make sure you have everything! Plan what your outfits are for the first week and set them out the night before each day! Plan meals and make sure you have all the food. The night before set out your breakfast and lunch!

Once you have done all of these things you are golden! A new school year is full of nerves and excitement so being prepared is key! I hope all of you have a great start to your school year, but don’t forget to savor those last moments of summer. As always don’t forget to stay Chic Neat and Sweet!
